In collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of North South University, IEEE NSU Student Branch is proud to present its Distinguished Lecturer Program-DLP, featuring two insightful sessions led by esteemed experts in their respective fields. A DLP offers a list of renowned and exceptional lecturers with specialist knowledge in their field. This program aims to inspire and engage students, faculty, and industry professionals by exploring cutting-edge advancements and challenges within technology and scientific research.

Session 1: Generative AI including Large Language Models for Social Good & Cyber-Security

The following session aims to give a close-up look at Generative AI, specifically focusing on the applications of Large Language Models. In addition, the speaker will consider the help of such possibilities to social activities for resolving problems such as misinformation and the learning process. Furthermore, the session will also familiarize the audience with the possible risks to computer safety from Generative AI and responsible development and implementation methods.  For this session, we have Professor Latifur Khan, a fellow of IEEE, IET, BCS, and other organizations, as our keynote speaker.

Session 2: Creativity and Innovation: Challenges in Scientific Research

The second session of this program will cover the field of scientific research. The speaker will explain the significance of creativity and the development of innovative ways in this diversified industry.  We will explore researchers' challenges in generating groundbreaking ideas and translating them into impactful discoveries. Finally, the session will provide helpful ideas on addressing such problems and encourage scientists. And for this session, we have Professor Debatosh Guha, a fellow of IEEE and the Chair of the IEEE APS MGA committee.
