IEEE IAS is an international organization that promotes safe, reliable, and cost-effective installations, and industry leadership in energy conservation and environment, health, and safety issues. It also advances the theory and practice of electrical and electronic engineering in the development, design, manufacture, and application of electrical systems, devices, and controls to the processes and equipment of industry and commerce. IEEE IAS provides professional influence to its almost 14,000 members.

In countries like Bangladesh, where industrial development and reliance are increasing daily, it is essential for students to gain access to these industrial engineering resources. Therefore, the IEEE NSU Industry Applications Society has made it its goal to simplify this knowledge among students through seminars, sessions, events, and industry tours.

The IEEE North South University Student Branch formed the IEEE NSU Industry Applications Society on June 9, 2018, as a chapter. Since then, the priority of this foundation has been to foster collaboration between students and corporations. To achieve this goal, the society members are working to set a benchmark for the future. The society has also successfully participated in the very first summit of the IEEE Bangladesh Section Industry Application Society. In addition to organizing events, they have arranged several workshops instructed by professionals from different organizations.

Membership Information - IEEE IAS offers first-year free membership. Per year this membership fee is 10$. If you want an IEEE IAS membership for more than one year, it will cost 10$ per year. You need to pay both IEEE and IEEE IAS membership every year to continue this membership.
