In celebration of PES Day 2023, IEEE NSU PES SBC is organizing a workshop called “Workshop on MATLAB Simulink” in collaboration with IEEE NSU SB, IEEE NSU SB WIE AG, IEEE NSU IAS SBC at North South University. The workshop intends to convey to participants the idea regarding a powerful simulation software, Simulink, that can be used to emulate well known renewable energy systems.
Numerous renewable energy applications or programs can be simulated using Simulink. One of these involves simulating the behavior of hydroelectric power plants, hydro turbines, generators, and power electronics needed for grid integration. By simulating the behavior of the solar cells, the inverter, and the energy storage batteries, Simulink may also be used to mimic a solar PV system.
Moreover, Simulink can be used to imitate a wind turbine system by replicating the behavior of the generator, wind turbine, and power electronics required for the power grid. In addition to all other applications, the characteristics of the biomass reactor, the combustion chamber, and the electricity-generating generator are sculpted by Simulink in order to replicate the Biomass Energy System.
The workshop’s premise is “Powering a Climate Safer Future” and attendees are urged to interact with the instructor to utilize the simulation program. The instructor will lead the students through the software and assist them in getting a handle on it.
Students have a great chance to improve their knowledge of a robust software platform throughout this workshop. It is accessible to all the interested students from ECE Department and we eagerly anticipate your involvement.
