Workshop on "Career Prospect for Youth in Bangladesh Clean Energy Sector"

IEEE NSU Power and Energy Society Student Branch Chapter

USAID Bangladesh, in partnership with IEEE NSU Power & Energy Society Student Branch Chapter & IEEE NSU SB Women in Engineering Affinity Group, is excited to announce a workshop titled "Career Prospect for Youth in Bangladesh Clean Energy Sector" at North South University. The workshop is a part of the five-year energy project, Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth through Energy (BADGE), organized in collaboration with North South University (NSU).

This event is strategically designed to address the expanding energy demand in Bangladesh amid rapid economic growth despite the challenges posed by limited indigenous energy resources. The seminar aims to shed light on the numerous career opportunities within the clean energy sector in Bangladesh, emphasizing the pivotal role of renewable energy (RE), energy efficiency (EE), and clean energy adoption across various sectors to ensure energy security.

The workshop is particularly tailored for young students who are keen on exploring career paths in the clean energy sector. The event will provide valuable insights into the challenges and scopes for the youth, with a special emphasis on encouraging young women to pursue careers in this dynamic and critical field. The workshop not only addresses Bangladesh's immediate energy needs but also serves as a platform for creating job opportunities and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The collaborative effort between IEEE NSU PES SBC, IEEE NSU SB WIE AG, and USAID exemplifies a commitment to supporting the youth in navigating and contributing to the clean energy landscape, ultimately contributing to the sustainable development of Bangladesh.
