Shining SOS Stars: Draw Up with Scratch

IEEE NSU Student Branch - Women in Engineering Affinity Group

Orphan children struggle to get a proper education and enrich their lives in today's technologically advanced environment. They are frequently ignored when it comes to education. Society ignores orphan children, although they deserve much more information to have a great future.

Keeping all in mind, IEEE NSU Student Branch WIE Affinity Group is organizing a special event in collaboration with IEEE NSU Student Branch titled "Shining SOS Stars: Draw Up with Scratch" on 5 August, 2022. This workshop will be for the unprivileged children of SOS Children's Village, who are very much in need of ideas about technology. SOS Children's Villages is the largest, independent, and nonprofit organization which supports children's interests and rights globally and offers humanitarian and developmental aid to those in need.

The Scratch programming language is one of the most popular languages for creating fun projects, especially for kids. They will be able to design their engaging testimonies, games, and animations using Scratch, and participating in this workshop will teach the kids how to use Scratch to create their projects and games. Following the workshop, there will be a delightful competition. Using Scratch Programming Tool, they can express their creativity and thoughts. This event will be held on the premises of North South University.
