And to address this challenge, the concept of Industrial Automation arises. Industrial automation can be defined as the use of set technologies and automatic control devices that result in the automatic operation and control of industrial processes without significant human intervention and achieving superior performance than manual control. Isn't it quite amazing, even to think about it? Again, a Programmable Logic Controller, or PLC, is a ruggedized computer used for industrial automation. These controllers can automate a specific process, machine function, or even an entire production line. In the present world, the concept of PLC in the automation world is quite a remarkable part. And learning about these attributes is also necessary for the Science Background students.
It is our absolute pleasure to inform you that IEEE NSU Power and Energy Society (PES) Student Branch Chapter and IEEE NSU Industry Application Society (IAS) Student Branch Chapter are collaboratively organizing a workshop on "Workshop on Introduction to Industrial Automation and PLC" with Ostad due on 10th and 11th April 2021.
