A moment of glory as IEEE NSU Student Branch (INSB) proudly secured the 'Outstanding Student Branch Award' among the 57 IEEE Student Branches in Bangladesh Section.

This remarkable achievement was celebrated at the 'IEEE Bangladesh Section Appreciation and Award Night 2023,' which took place on 27th January at BUET, organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section.

IEEE NSU Student Branch (INSB) extends heartfelt congratulations to Md. Tasbeer Ahmed on winning the 1st Runner-Up at the Undergraduate Thesis Paper Contest at the International Student-Led Conference 2023. The conference was organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section and co-hosted by IEEE NSU Student Branch and IEEE AIUB Student Branch.

Tasbeer, at present is the IEEE NSU Student Branch's Incharge of the Membership Development Team, has been recognised for his exceptional accomplishment with his teammates on the project “ Uplink and downlink budget for HD video transmission with DVB-S2 ’’

With great excitement, we would like to share that IEEE NSU Student Branch- INSB has secured the prestigious 1st position in the IEEE Student Branch Website Contest at the International Student Led Conference 2023.

The International Student Led Conference 2023 was conducted in a hybrid mode from December 13-15, with the offline segment hosted at the Hotel Long Beach in Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh. The conference arranged several contests, among which IEEE NSU Student Branch won the 1st prize in the website contest category.

We truly appreciate the hard work and contribution of the dedicated members, congratulating them for bringing this significant success to INSB. We look forward to maintaining this momentum and being a part of the victories ahead.

Congratulations to the IEEE NSU Industry Applications Society Student Branch Chapter, the winner of the “IEEE IAS CMD Outstanding Small IAS Chapter Award 2023” !! The IEEE NSU Industry Applications Society (IAS) Student Branch Chapter is the only IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter from Bangladesh to have won this competition this year, and we are thrilled to announce this. After winning the IEEE IAS Most Impactful Webinar Contest, in 2022, the IEEE NSU IAS Student Branch Chapter has acquired a second international honour. A representative from the chapter is also invited and will receive a travel grant in order to accept the CMD award, which will be presented at the IEEE IAS Annual Meeting in 2023 at the Omni Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. We appreciate all the contributions of our members to the IEEE Industry Applications Society Student Branch Chapter. Together, we make the community great and remarkable!

We are delighted and exhilarated to announce that IEEE NSU Student Branch has been named the winner of the IEEE Day 2022 Photo Contest. Upon the celebrations of IEEE Day 2022 and on the contests of IEEE Day, IEEE NSU Student Branch has submitted a total of three photos under the ‘Technical Activity Category’ and the ‘Social Event Category’ each. And with the participation and submission of photos, IEEE NSU Student Branch is announced Winner under the photo submission of ‘Technical Activity Category’. A photo taken at the ‘Project Showcase’ organized by IEEE RAS SBC for the IEEE Day 2022 was submitted and awarded the First prize. Together with wishing the Student Branch success in the future, we appreciate and congratulate each member of the IEEE NSU Student Branch.

IEEE North South University Student Branch wishes the heartiest congratulations to the INSB Website Development Team on becoming the champions of the Website Contest at the International Student-LED Conference 2022, presented by the IEEE Bangladesh Section! The International Student-LED Conference 2022 took place in hybrid mode on the 24th and 25th of June. The Website Development Team is in charge of building and maintaining the INSB website. Mayesha Tafannum from IEEE Region 10 was the winner.

The IEEE R10 Exemplary Student Branch Award is given to a student branch that has maintained membership, provided student members with opportunities to volunteer, and promoted IEEE and its mission. This award aims to identify the Student Branch that has conducted quality events, workshops, projects, etc., for students' benefit. You'll be glad to know that IEEE NSU SB was able to win this award in 2019 from IEEE Region 10.

Student branches are crucial to the growth & development of IEEE Student members. The purpose of this award is to provide public recognition of the best IEEE Student Branch operations. Prizes will be presented to those Student Branches that are found to be operated in a manner consistent with IEEE goals. From IEEE Bangladesh Section, IEEE NSU SB was able to earn this best student branch award in 2019.

Best Student Volunteer Award (Hon. Men.) recognizes the IEEE student members who have taken a personal interest in promoting IEEE Professional activities. The best Student Volunteer Award under IEEE Bangladesh Section aims to appreciate the outstanding contributions by IEEE Student members under Bangladesh Section. In 2019, Asma Arisha, Chair, IEEE NSU SB, was able to conquest this award.

Recruitment is the process of finding, screening, hiring, and eventually, onboarding qualified job candidates. From IEEE Region 10, Nasif Faiyaz, MDC, IEEE NSU SB secured First Place in 2019.

IEEE Best Ambassador plays a vital role in strengthening the IEEE brand and facilitating a consistent, best-in- class brand experience. Moreover, the best ambassador can ensure the “unmistakably IEEE” experience is evident in how we speak about IEEE and how we represent ourselves on print, digital, and interpersonal interactions. From IEEE PES Day 2020, Mayesha Tafannum was able to claim this award in 2019.

The IEEE Day 2019 Photo Contest is held every year as part of the IEEE Day celebrations. It is a way of rewarding volunteers efforts who go the extra mile to bring creativity to the festivities. In IEEE, IEEE NSU SB took 2nd place & also received a prize of $250 in 2019.

PES High Performing Student Branch Award is a technical unit of one or more IEEE Societies. PES, formerly the IEEE Power Engineering Society, is the oldest IEEE society focused on the scientific and engineering knowledge about electric power and energy. In 2019, IEEE PES CSAC, IEEE NSU SB, PES SBC was able to grab this award and earn $200.

The IEEE Region 10 Exemplary Student Branch Award is given to a student branch that has maintained membership, provided student members with opportunities to volunteer, and promoted IEEE and its mission. This award aims to identify the Student Branch that has conducted quality events, workshops, projects, etc., for students' benefit. You'll be glad to know that IEEE NSU SB was able to win this award in 2018 from IEEE R10.

The IEEE Region 10 Student Branch Website Contest is designed to encourage student volunteers to fully utilize the Internet's power for keeping members informed about the local activities and opportunities to participate. Most importantly, in the year 2018, in IEEE Region 10, IEEE NSU SB was the winner.

Best Student Volunteer Award (Hon. Men.) recognizes the IEEE student members who have taken a personal interest in promoting IEEE Professional activities. The best Student Volunteer Award under IEEE Bangladesh Section aims to appreciate the outstanding contributions by IEEE Student members under Bangladesh Section. In 2017, Kimia Tuz Zaman, Chair, IEEE NSU SB, was able to conquest this award.

IEEE is committed to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Through IEEE's diverse humanitarian programs, there are many opportunities to contribute—big or small—to improve the human condition worldwide. In IEEE Bangladesh Section, Worth Ul Hasan, Chair, IEEE NSU SB, obtained this award in 2017.

IEEE Student Branch Posters cover technical areas within the IEEE. In IEEE BDS SYW Congress, Student Branch Poster Contest is one of the most prestigious contests in IEEE. IEEE NSU SB was Second Runner Up in 2017 in this beautiful contest.

IEEE DAY Long Video Contest is one of the most competitive contests in IEEE. In 2017, from IEEE, IEEE NSU SB secured both 2nd Runner Up & got $200. That was a proud moment for IEEE NSU SB.

IEEE Maker Fair track is organized to help the students display their technical skills and teamwork. Under this, abstracts will be called for and evaluated for their social usefulness and ability to be converted into a product. It was held in VCE, Hyderabad, India. In 2017, Robotics & Automation Society, IEEE NSU SB, was able to win and be awarded as champion and also earn $1000, which was a very proud achievement for IEEE NSU SB.

IEEE Spectrum Quiz Contest is one of the most competitive contests in IEEE. You will be thrilled to know that in 2016, from IEEE Bangladesh Section, IEEE NSU SB secured Second Runner Up position. Undoubtedly, that was a very proud moment for IEEE NSU SB.
