Managing the Future Grid-A Balancing Act Among RE, EV EV and ES

On 9th of August 2020, IEEE NSU PES SBC in support of IEEE PES Bangladesh Chapter organized a virtual seminar titled as, “IEEE NSU PES SBC in support of IEEE PES Bangladesh Chapter.” The total number of participants in the seminar was 75, among which 65 were IEEE members and 10 non-IEEE members. The seminar was conducted by our honorable speaker Dr. R. Nagaraja SMIEEE who is the founder and Managing Director, M/s. Power Research & Development Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, India and Chair of IEEE PES India Chapters Council.

The prominence on nullification of carbon footprint electricity generation throughout the world has emerged in higher penetration of renewable energy (RE) into the grid. Nevertheless, Renewable energy in the form of solar and wind has its own limitations too, due to variability, uncertainties in forecasting and scheduling issues.

In the virtual seminar our Honorable speaker talked about how best the future grid can be managed and brings about the nexus between Renewable Energy (RE), Electric Storage (ES), and Electric Vehicle (EV). Dr. R. Nagaraja shared his insights about the future prospects of (RE), Electric Storage (ES), and Electric Vehicle (EV), and that how they can be more developed to reduce the limitations of the existing Renewable energy sources.

In the question-answer session, our enthusiastic participants asked some mindful relevant questions regarding Renewable Energy (RE), Electric Storage (ES), and Electric Vehicle (EV). Our honorable speaker was pleased to see the passion among the participants to learn. He answered all of the participants’ questions contentedly.

The seminar started at 8:00PM and ended at approximately 9:00PM.

E-Certificates were distributed among the participants. Our speaker and guests were honored with certificates too.
