Fiction and Reality of Blockchain
IEEE IUT Student Branch in collaboration with IEEE NSU Student Branch is organizing a workshop on “Blockchain Technology” as the second installment of the collaborative event on the occasion of IEEE Day 2022. The event will take place at the picturesque Islamic University of Technology.
While we’re currently living in a reality where technology and innovation have both surpassed their limits, buzzwords related to computer based technologies are common, and blockchain is probably the most common. It’s hard to find someone on the internet who hasn’t yet been bombarded with the term Blockchain. Blockchain is basically a system or technology for record-keeping of “blocks” of data using peer-to-peer networking among multiple computers in a “chain” like structure that is incredibly secure and virtually unhackable. Essentially blockchain is a digital ledger but way more precise and user friendly. The term “Blockchain” has been popularized through the introduction of Bitcoins and NFTs into mainstream culture and economy. Although blockchain is massively being used in cryptocurrency and associated finance, it finely has its potential to be used in cross border transactions. If possible the charge will be a fraction of what it is now. Blockchain is now also being associated with smart contracts, web server security, data management and basically anywhere where data has to be flown back and through.
All this information is just the surface level intro to blockchain. But, how to actually implement all these in our day to day life? This workshop will answer such questions of yours and work towards showcasing the infinite real potential of Blockchain tech.
Despite the skepticism people have towards Blockchain being the future of tomorrow, it will definitely have a firm footing in the days to come.
